qbo makes augmented analytics easy, but we know you still have questions! We’ve endeavoured to answer some of questions we hear most below - but if you have others, please write to us at lets@unscrambl.com for a quick response.

A: Augmented analytics is the feature of a business intelligence system to augment any data presentation with additional insights that can be uncovered by analytics. Traditional business analytics tend to be matter-of-fact. They answer basic pre-defined descriptive questions well, but don’t offer additional insights, and definitely don’t cover ad-hoc questions that come up on the fly. Augmented analytics complements human intelligence with additional data, insights and decision making abilities, all available on demand. It helps make humans faster and more efficient at their tasks.

A: We can connect to a wide variety of sources including relational databases, Big Data systems, flat files, enterprise applications and streaming data. This includes MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle DB, Postgres, Cloudera, csv files, etc. You can find a full list of our connectors here.

A: qbo brings insights and data right at every business user’s fingertips. It provides an easy-to-use conversational interface to data and exposes a variety of additional insights that traditional BI tools may not provide out of the box. The good news is that qbo insights is complementary to existing BI tools and can connect to existing cubes to power truly on demand, mobile friendly and conversational analytics.

A: You can ask various questions on data present in the database(s). This includes questions that require the performance of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics on the data. This ranges from asking questions that need basic filtering or aggregations on the data to discovering deep insights on variances and anomalies to asking for predictions or forecasts. You can also browse the website to get more specific use cases for financial services, telecommunications & retail.

A: Depends 🙂 qbo comes with a set of analytic capabilities that cover various typical analytical requirements. However, each enterprise might need to build specialized models or perform customized analytics that are not built into qbo. You may need a data scientist for these custom and specialized tasks.

A: Your current team of data scientists can focus on the more complex and specialized problems relevant to your industry and domain. They can be freed of the tasks of doing simple, often repetitive analysis.

A: qbo includes several elements of AI, including Natural Language Processing to understand queries by business users; diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive machine learning models and optimization algorithms to uncover insights and recommendations from your data; dynamic chart and natural language generation to present the insights uncovered; and continuous learning to improve all aspects of the system.
